## Frequently asked questions

### What counts as a credit?

Credits measure how much you scan. An AI check uses 1 credit per word, a plagiarism check uses 2, and an image uses 300. Before a scan runs, we show how many credits it will use, so there are no surprises.

### What happens to credits I don't use?

Unused credits roll over for as long as your subscription is active. On yearly plans you still receive credits monthly, which keeps usage even across the year. The Free allowance doesn't expire.

### Can I change plans or cancel at any time?

Yes. Upgrades apply straight away and we credit the unused part of your current plan. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the billing period, and you keep access until then.

### Do you offer discounts for students or schools?

Students get 30% off Essential and Advanced with a school email address. Schools and universities can buy credits in bulk with LMS integration and a central admin dashboard. Contact sales for a quote.

### Do you keep the text I scan?

Your text is used only to run your scan. We never train models on it or add it to a public index. You can delete any scan from your history, and it's removed from our servers within 24 hours.

### Which payment methods do you accept?

All major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Team and school plans can also pay by invoice. Payments are handled by a PCI-compliant processor, so we never see your full card number.
