# Reset your password or change your email

> Get back into your account, change the email you sign in with, and keep your account secure.

## Forgot your password

1. On the [log in](https://winstonai.ai/login) page, select **Forgot password?**
2. Enter the email you signed up with. We'll send a reset link that works for 30 minutes.
3. Choose a new password. You'll be signed out on your other devices.

No email after a few minutes? Check your spam folder and make sure you used the address you signed up with. If you signed up with Google or Microsoft, use that button to sign in instead; there's no separate password to reset.

## Change your sign-in email

Open **Settings** and update **Email** under **Profile**. We'll send a confirmation link to the new address, and the change takes effect once you select it.

## Keep your account secure

- Use a password you don't use anywhere else, or sign in with Google or Microsoft.
- Sign out of shared or school computers when you're done.
- If you spot a scan you didn't run, change your password and [contact support](https://winstonai.ai/contact?topic=support) straight away.
